In September 2020, two women set a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) record in the Adirondacks. Katie Rhodes and Bethany Garretson thru-hiked all 46 High Peaks unsupported – they carried all their own food and supplies, used no vehicles, and camped along the way. 175 miles, 64,000 feet of elevation gain, in 7 days, 4 hours, and 50 minutes. They raised $3,000 for suicide awareness and prevention in the process.
