This hike started by the raging Great Falls near Falls Village, Connecticut. After viewing the falls we hiked up the Appalachian Trail across the road up to the summit of Mount Prospect, a pleasant easy hike. There was a view near the summit of the Housatonic River below. We continued on until we came out of the woods into a broad pasture with a beautiful view of the lower Taconic mountain range. This was Rands View. It was a little cool, a little breezy and just a little snow at the summit. Great day.
