Whereas the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) is dedicated to the protection and responsible recreational use of the New York State Forest Preserve, and other parks, wild lands, and waters vital to its members and chapters.
Whereas ADK employs a balanced approach to outdoor recreation, advocacy, environmental education, and natural resource conservation.
Whereas ADK is a member directed organization and its success is dependent upon the dedication and commitment of its members.
Whereas for decades, Bob Ringlee was one of ADK’s most active members and volunteers. His many contributions to ADK included:
1. Bob was involved in conservation issues serving on ADK’s Conservation Committee .
2. In the mid-1970s, Bob was a member of the High Peaks Advisory Committee .
3. Bob served as ADK president from from 1991 through 1994 and was awarded the Distinguished Volunteer Award .
4. In 2002, Bob received the David E Newhouse Conservation Award and ADK Trailblazer Award in 2008.
Therefore be it resolved that the ADK Conservation Committee wishes to posthumously express recognition and gratitude to Bob Ringlee for his dedication and many contributions to ADK.
