I lead 4 hiking friends, Terry, Dorie, Nancy, and Margaret and Dorie’s dog Zoey on a hike to Lion’s Head north of Salisbury, Connecticut. Most of this hike was on the Appalachian Trail. The parking lot was easy to miss on Undermountain Road. We saw lots of gypsy moth caterpillars and mountain laurel. We also met a number of section hikers and through hikers. We had a great view at the top of Lion’s Head. Then I found Riga Falls 2.3 miles just off Mt. Riga Road. This beautiful waterfall was a short walk in.
