I led a hike with Roman and Kelly. Starting from the Minnewaska State Park lower parking lot, we hiked down the High Peterskill Trail to an unmarked trail which leads to Hidden Pond. The trail was rather hard to follow in places but the cairns helped some. What really helped was having Gaia to make sure we were on course. The day was foggy but without rain. The pond was pretty so we ate lunch there. Then we bushwhacked down to the wild raging Peterskill Creek, crossed it on a log, and made our way back up to the marked trails. From there we hiked up to the Peterskill office, crossed the road, hiked up the very finely-groomed trail to Awosting Falls and back to the parking lot.
