I led a hike with Terry and Elaine to Balanced Rocks and Pitchoff Mtn. It was a beautiful sunny day with great views at Balanced Rocks and of the Cascade Lakes, not so much on Pitchoff Mtn. Parts of the trail are steep and rocky. We took our time and had no problem. Also trail markers are scarce and signs nonexistant. AllTrails helped in that respect, except AllTrails directions led to a back road that I knew was not correct. No problem parking on this weekday although there were already several cars there. Also, road construction is going on in front of Cascade Lakes.
